The [Combined Defence Services (CDS)](w) Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year to recruit officers for the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.

⚫ Eligibility:

▪️Educational Qualification:

  🔹Indian Military Academy (IMA) & OTA – Graduation in any stream

  🔹 Indian Naval Academy – Degree in Engineering

  🔹Air Force Academy – Graduation with Physics & Math at 10+2 level or Engineering degree

⚫Age Limit:

  🔹IMA: 19–24 years

  🔹INA: 19–22 years

  🔹AFA: 19–23 years

  🔹OTA: 19–25 years

▪️Gender: Men can apply for all wings, women only for OTA

▪️Exam Pattern:

1. Written Exam – Objective-type questions (English, General Knowledge, Mathematics)

2. SSB Interview – Personality & intelligence test over 5 days

3. Medical Examination – Fitness evaluation before final selection
